This page is updated with short reports from recent events and news of what's planned in the near future. In general, only news originating from the UK branch of the Pointman Leadership Institute will be posted on this page.

What will be apparent, however, is the UK Directors and Instructors are heavily involved with seminars abroad. The organisational and personal challenges that confront leaders abroad are often more demanding than in the UK. Experiences learnt from abroad are integrated into the UK seminars.

35. Mike Askew, 15 May. Bahamas – April 16-23 2008: Mike Askew (UK), Jim Huffman and Don MacAlpine (USA) attended the 4th Caribbean Christian Military Leaders Conference in the Bahamas. They presented a summary of the Ethical Leadership seminar to 30 representatives from the Caribbean countries. They also presented the anti-corruption seminar to 60 leaders from the police, customs and Excise, Immigration and the Defence Force. The team organised two additional seminars one for 85 police recruits attended the leadership seminar. The final seminar was for 25 prison officers and 10 police officers at Fox Hlll Prison. During this seminar Jim Huffman gave a 60 minute overview to a prison conference. Mike Askew gave a radio interview with the Assistant Commissioner of police on LOVE-FM, which has an audience extending to Jamaica.

34. Mike Askew, 15 May. Liberia - 07 to 14 April 2008: Mike Okuo, Nigeria, Richard Wiggins, UK and Quintus Smit, RSA-Team Leader went to Liberia. Seminars were presented to Monrovia, Ministry of Information. Attendees were members of the State Security Service of all ranks. Seminars were also presented to a diverse group including lawyers, law students and management students. The team presented 5 seminars in 7 days. They presented to 199 attendees of whom 131 experienced the Basic and the Anti Corruption seminars.

33. Mike Askew, 15 May. During 2007 Pointman UK provided 20 seminars in other countries and 1496 leaders were trained in ethical leadership and anti-corruption. The countries supported during 2007 include: Bolivia, Liberia, Lithuania, Jordan, Romania and Russia. There was a very good response from all the countries supported.
